Singapore Taxi Academy
The Academy is authorized by the Land Transport Authority and Singapore
Tourism Board to train, test and certify taxi driver leading to the issuance of
Taxi Vocational License and Taxi Tourist Guide License respectively. The
Academy oversees the following mandatory training courses and tests:

- Taxi Vocational Licence Course & Test
- Taxi Medical Chaperon Course & Test
- TVL Refresher Course

The Academy also oversees industry initiated training programmes for taxi
drivers such as the Skills Redevelopment Programme for Taxi Services
Industry (SRP-TSI) training courses and tests:

- Conversational Language Proficiency
- (Mandrain, English & Japanese)
- Advance Taxi Technique
- Service Excellence
- Communication skills

The Academy work closely with the authorities, the taxi companies and
drivers, and other valued partners to create new frontiers to taxi services that
bring the benefits of training to all people in the taxi industry.

The red dot represents the Academy as the centre of knowledge, training and
development for the taxi industry. The connecting strokes represent the
interdependent relationship among the authorities, the taxi companies and
drivers, and the community they serve. The dynamic colour strokes signify the
Academy's endeavour to add value to the taxi industry and enhance the
employability and professionalism of the taxi drivers. The rounded
emcompassing strokes symbolize the Academy's focus to strengthen the
